Abrazo Community Health Network will open its newest microhospital in the East Valley in the spring of 2019.
The facility will include a 12-bed emergency department, an operating room, and eight inpatient rooms. Its services will include surgery, diagnostic imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, and outpatient services in the 32,500 square foot building.
“The Mesa microhospital will offer a patient-friendly design with emergency and acute care services in an efficient, convenient location,” said Abrazo’s CEO Frank Molinaro, “It’s designed to provide close integration with our other facilities for patients who may require more complex care.”
Abrazo Community Health Network includes five hospitals in the greater Phoenix area – Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital, Abrazo Central Campus, Abrazo Scottsdale Campus, Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, and Abrazo West Campus – along with several emergency centers, urgent care centers, primary practices, and specialty practices. Abrazo provides a wide range of skilled services including neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, and other specialized care.
Like Abrazo’s other facilities, the microhospital will offer around the clock care, employing 50 full – time equivalent clinical and support staff jobs.
“Our goal is providing an integrated system of care closer to home for those who choose Abrazo Community Health Network for their care. We believe this type of facility will offer the quality and efficiency today’s healthcare consumers expect,” commented Molinaro.
The new facility will be located on Baseline Road, one mile west of Power Road, furthering the expansion of Abrazo’s medical services beyond the Phoenix area.
“As a community health network, Abrazo is proud to be a part of the Arizona business community and we look forward to many more years of providing excellent care and service for our patients,” Molinaro stated.
