Senior living meets healthcare development

With easy access to health care services and development, the Grande Vita project in Mesa is set to meet the needs of its senior residents.

According to the City of Mesa, the Grande Vita project is a “mixed-use medical office, commercial and residential campus located east of Crismon Road on the north side of the U.S. 60.”

Grande Vita is a BioCity Enterprise campus, which combines business and science to aid development and create a fulfilling living space.

It will have two hotels, a five-story medical office building, a five-story nursing school and rehabilitation center that also acts as a medical office building, and a 12-story residential tower.

The campus is designed to allow seniors to live comfortably and have access to a variety of special needs including independent and assisted living, medical care and more.

The residential tower and medical office building will be linked through an elevated pedestrian connection, which will make the medical services even more accessible.

“The residential component of the Grande Vita campus includes independent and assisted living. As all of the services related to aging are offered in one location, residents at Grande Vita will be able to age in place.  As the care needs for a resident change over time, the resident can transition to assisted living without leaving his [or] her unit,” according to the City of Mesa.

In addition to the residential services and medical development, the campus is in close proximity to a variety of attractions and major freeways.

The City of Mesa has provided assistance throughout the development of the Grande Vita project.

“City staff assisted the team to obtain a rezoning, Site Plan Review and Design Review approval in January 2019 and will also be working with them when they submit other required permits,” according to the City of Mesa.

Grande Vita is being developed by Tucson-based Khangura Development.
