Governors Ducey and Pavlovich discuss cross-border collaboration

Prominent business leaders and policymakers from Arizona and Mexico joined Arizona Governor Doug Ducey and Sonora Governor Claudia Pavlovich this week in Tucson to promote strategies for further cross-border collaboration at the state’s annual pre-eminent gathering of the Arizona-Mexico Commission.

“The Arizona-Mexico Commission summit offers a unique opportunity to bring together business leaders and policymakers to define, advance and implement strategies that promote cross-border collaboration,” said Jessica Pacheco, president of the Arizona-Mexico Commission.

This year’s summit theme, “Leadership in Action,” featured distinguished leaders, including a panel with all Arizona border mayors discussing topics from global manufacturing to tourism, public safety and international market trends.

According to Pacheco, the “collaboration and teamwork between Arizona and Mexico has never been more urgent in our increasingly interconnected North American economy.”

Governors Ducey and Pavlovich spoke to CBN about cross-border collaboration, expediting the customs process, and the future of North American Free Trade Agreement.
