Three members of Arizona’s congressional delegation have earned endorsements from the Arizona and U.S. Chambers of Commerce.
“The members of the delegation we’ve endorsed have all demonstrated a commitment to pursuing policies that will make our economy more competitive and help create jobs,” said Courtney Coolidge, vice president of government affairs for the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry. “On issues like taxes, regulations, and trade, these members have distinguished themselves as leaders interested in getting things done and setting partisan labels aside.”
The business community often endorses federal candidates committed to championing free enterprise by actively supporting public policy solutions that drive economic growth, sustaining job creation, and empowering businesses of all sizes to innovate and invest in America’s future.
Rep. Greg Stanton
Rep. Greg Stanton, a Democrat who represents Ahwatukee, Tempe, and parts of Mesa and Chandler, was endorsed by the U.S. Chamber and the chambers of commerce in his district.
“Rep. Stanton has consistently demonstrated a commonsense and collaborative approach to policy, working across the aisle to advance legislation that supports innovation, infrastructure, and economic growth,” said Danny Seiden, president and CEO of the Arizona Chamber. “We need more leaders in Congress who are willing to put aside politics and focus on the issues that really matter to job creators, taxpayers, and families. Rep. Stanton has his priorities straight, and we’re proud to endorse his re-election.”
“Greg Stanton has served his business community well,” said Sally Harrison, president and CEO of the Mesa Chamber of Commerce. “From money back to the district to business outreach, Stanton has earned the endorsement of the Mesa Chamber of Commerce.”
Rep. Juan Ciscomani
The state and U.S. chambers in August endorsed Republican Rep. Juan Ciscomani, who represents much of southeastern Arizona.
“Congressman Ciscomani is a champion for free enterprise and job creators in southern Arizona, and he’s a proven leader who’s working to craft bipartisan solutions that enhance border security and fix our immigration system,” said Jennings Imel, vice president of the U.S. Chamber’s Western Regional Office. “We are proud to stand with Congressman Ciscomani and look forward to working together in the 119th Congress.”
Rep. Ciscomani said he was honored to receive the endorsements.
“This recognition is not just about my individual efforts, but rather a reflection of our collective commitment to sustain and grow our local economy. As I have said often, the government does not create jobs, it creates an environment for businesses to thrive,” he said.
Rep. David Schweikert
Northeast Valley Republican Rep. David Schweikert also earned the organizations’ backing.
“Few members of Congress understand the effect of public policy on whether an economy will grow jobs like David Schweikert,” Seiden said. “Throughout his tenure in Congress, Rep. Schweikert has supported policies to keep taxes low, cut red tape, and make Arizona and the United States more globally competitive. David Schweikert deserves to be re-elected, and the Arizona Chamber of Commerce & Industry is proud to endorse him.”
